The EA7 Emporio Armani Sportour will kick off in Bormio. The official opening will be held Friday, 18 January, at 3.30 pm with the inauguration of the Sportour Village at Park Funivia Bormio Ski.
Elisa Di Francisca, two-time Olympic gold medallist in individual and team foil, London 2012, and individual foil silver medallist in Rio 2016, will be the guest of honour for this first segment. The champion from Jesi will be part of a splendid inaugural segment for the itinerant sports event, organised by RCS Sports & Events, in collaboration with La Gazzetta dello Sport and Radio 105, and held in some of Italy’s most beautiful mountain locations.
Promotional activities and entertainment will be provided by Radio 105, which will be present both in the Village and at the Bormio 2000 station, with a music area set up at the point of arrival and a team ready to distribute mementos. Bryan Ronzani and Valeria Oliveri will accompany the numerous activities of the day, enriched by entertainment and mementos, and an après-ski DJ set will warm up the atmosphere at the Village in the afternoon.
The activities planned for this first segment include: we glow, the group descent on the ski slopes at night with a Snow Party starting at 7.30 pm; ski style preskige, the training session for perfecting skiing technique – execution and style – with assessment of expertise on skis. And more: snowbike, the new frontier for enthusiasts who love cycling on ice and snow, with a chance to try out the fat bikes; giro di pista, an unconventional giant descent with 21 gates, all inspired by the stages of the upcoming Giro d’Italia, which will accompany the entire tour with its Trofeo Senza Fine.
During the segment, guests will also be able to board the Vibram Sole Factor Mobile Lab, a veritable laboratory on wheels, for a look at the revolutionary features offered by Vibram Arctic Grip technology and a chance to personalise their footwear.
The official website www.ea7sportour.it can be used to book all activities in advance and for signing up. The website will also provide complete information and the programme for all the stops in the tour.
