The first of six stops in the EA7 Emporio Armani Tour was held in Bormio, one of the most famous ski stations in Italy, bringing numerous enthusiasts together for a variety of activities on the snow.
At the event EA7 provided a selection of jackets from the A/I 18/19 collection, to be tested directly on slopes. Skiers were able to appreciate their style and technical features.
The guest of honour for the first stop in the tour planned by RCS Sports & Events was Elisa Di Francisca. “A splendid event, it was a pleasure to be a guest for the first stage, I hope I brought the tour good luck”, stated the two time Olympic gold medallist, individual and team foil at London 2012, and individual foil silver medallist at Rio 2016, who then added: “This is the perfect format for engaging everyone because there are several activities at different difficulty levels. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a weekend of sport and entertainment”.
The hub for the event was the Sportour Village, located near Park Funivia Bormio Ski. Among the activities hosted over this first stage, we glow, a group descent on the ski slopes at night followed by a Snow Party, was a great success. Other successful events included ski style preskige, a training session for perfecting skiing techniques; snowbike, a new frontier for ice and snow cycling enthusiasts using fat bikes, and giro di pista, an unconventional giant descent with 21 gates, all inspired by the stages of the upcoming Giro d’Italia, which will accompany the entire tour with its Trofeo Senza Fine.
Entertainment and promotional activities were provided by Radio 105, which was present both at the Village and at the Bormio 2000 station, with a music area set up near the point of arrival. DJs Bryan Ronzani and Valeria Oliveri livened up the three days of sun and snow.
During the segment, guests were able to board the Vibram Sole Factor Mobile Lab, a veritable laboratory on wheels, for a look at the revolutionary features offered by Vibram Arctic Grip technology and a chance to personalise their footwear.
The Tour will continue next weekend (25-27 January) in Corvara, Val Badia, where participants will be able to experience all the activities that were inaugurated in Bormio and that will be featured throughout the tour.
