The RCS Sport winter tour sponsored by EA7 Emporio Armani will begin in the Valle d’Aosta.

The Courmayeur stage will open the new EA7 Emporio Armani Sportour Winter Edition, the sport event organised by RCS Sport at some of Italy’s most impressive mountain locations, in collaboration with La Gazzetta dello Sport and Radio 105.

There are a total of six stages, all sponsored by EA7 Emporio Armani; the schedule on which the entire tour is based was inspired by EA7 Emporio Armani’s previous winter road show. The aim is to take the combination of sport and entertainment to the host locations, which are some of the most renowned places on the winter circuit. The three days at Courmayeur (11th – 13th january) will open the tour where the focus will be on activities between Plan Checrouit and Dolonne (Fun Park area); The tour will continue with Bormio (18th – 20th january), Corvara (25th – 27th january), Ponte di Legno (8th – 10th february), Rasen Antholz with Valdaora (15th – 17th february) and the finale at Sestriere (22th – 24th february).

Numerous sports activities are programmed: we glow – a group downhill activity held at night on the ski slopes; ski style preskige – a training session for perfecting skiing technique (execution and style) with assessment of expertise; skiathlon – a combination of alpine skiing, downhill and biathlon target shooting; ciaspolate – snow-shoe races organised by dedicated instructors, as are all the other activities; snowbike – the new frontier for cycling enthusiasts, which takes place on ice and snow, with the chance to try out fat bikes; giro di pista – an unconventional giant descent with 21 gates, all inspired by the stages of the upcoming Giro d’Italia.

The various EA7 Sportour Winter Edition partners will be able to involve participants in the numerous planned activities. Held over the weekend, the events are conceived and organised to specifically take into account the characteristics of the host locations. The central point of every stage will be a pop-up “Village”, located near the town centre or close to the ski resort, which will be brought to life by the event staff and the music of Radio 105, the official radio station of the tour. The station will broadcast both from the “Village” and from a high-altitude location. The Radio 105 DJs Bryan Ronzani and Valeria Oliveri will engage those present throughout the various activities. The afternoon will also include an après-ski DJ set.
